Glencore Coal South Africa is offering a Graduate Development Program aimed at Mining Engineering graduates who are eager to build a career in the mining industry. Based in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, this 36-month fixed-term program provides structured exposure to various aspects of the business, combining technical and behavioural development. Graduates will rotate across different departments, gaining practical experience through assignments, coaching, and participation in relevant courses and workshops. The program is designed to prepare candidates for substantive roles within Glencore and the broader mining sector, emphasizing hands-on learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Follow a structured development program over a fixed term of 36 months
• Gain exposure to various aspects of the discipline and rotate across different parts of the business
• Develop both technical and behavioural competencies
• Engage in practical learning through assignments, coaching and workshops

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree in Mining Engineering
• Outstanding academic record
• Learning orientation, rule orientation and willingness to work as part of a team
• Preference given to applicants residing in the Nkangala District of Mpumalanga province with proof of residence
